Almost 8 weeks after the operation in Monza and after a close check-up by Dr. Kupfer the wires have been taken off from Max Neukirchner's foot in a Chemnitz hospital. The small surgical procedure was carried out under anesthetic without any complications and took about 15 minutes. Max was then able to leave the clinic a couple of hours later. The Alstare Suzuki rider will now embark on a tough training program during the next couple of weeks in order to be ready for the test at Imola in a fortn...

PSG-1 Corse have announced their decision to abandon the 2009 Superbike World Championship with immediate effect due to the current economic climate. In the last seven years of participation in World Superbike, the best result for the team was Chris Walker's win at Assen in 2006.
