hmmmm I am sure someone wise once said - that anecdote is not the plural of data. or something like that anyway.

My uncle smoked 2 packs of Winfield every day for his whole life. He was what you would call a high-mileage smoker..........and he died when a bus run over him. Is that proof that smoking is safe ?

    :)

In fairness, I said it, and it's that the plural of anecdote isn't data. The fun of the bell curve is the outliers tell you very little about the population. Plus it's unlikely to be perfectly normally distributed, in which case one outlier tells you almost nothing about the survival rates of the majority.

I started as the Canberra agent for Skyteam Motorcycles in February, and owe thanks to Motorini Scooters and Dahlitz Motorcycles for selling them.
Have spent quite some time researching the product, checking quality, improving performance and handling, and putting serious kilometres on my test mule, before releasing them.
Whilst the Skyteam ACE will not equal the quality of the Honda Dream they are modelled from, they are quite good quality for the price ( about a 7.5 out of 10, with 10 being a Japanese motorbike ).
I can understand your criticism of the product, as the chinese thumpsters , pit bikes and quads from several years ago have left an unfortunate memory for everyone, that bought one. Quite happy for you to drop into my workshop where I stock and assemble the bikes, and let you inspect them to get a true understanding of their level of quality. As well as the ACE I'm stocking the Monkey , T-Rex, and will soon be releasing products from Cleveland Cyclewerks ( 2 year unlimited kilometre warranty). Check out their range on the WEB.
    Kind regards Michael Blumenfeld

    Hi Lads
Yes that would be fine, I would welcome a visit. My workshop is situated in Macgregor. Please contact me on 0422760306. Am currently setting up a website. Nico from Motorini displayed a Monkey and ACE , at the Canberra show, and I also set them up at the Wheels exibition near the Carrillion recently ( appreciate his and Greg's help). One ACE is on the road along with 2 V-retros, and 2 T-Rexes are currently doing duty in WA with 2 gold diggers. 2 Monkeys are in the process of registration.Riding a Monkey on the street is a total blast ( have to pick non peak hour), and anyone that test rides one has a huge grin when they return.
Saw the ACE at Motocicilo Sydney , and decided to have a crack at selling them. My workshop was established 16 years ago, for servicing and restoring cars, with motorcycles taking up a small percentage of the total workload.I own a 500 pantah,F1, 3 geuine z50's, and just about the whole Honda XL/ XR range ( I'm a tragic for neglected bikes, and have many donated to me for restoaration) Hope to hear from one of you soon.

    Kind regards Michael

You sound like the same Michael B who used to work at Beasley & Bruce / Rolfies in Braddon a long time ago (must be around the 17 or 18 years ago). Not sure if you remember me, I was the yardy there back in the day and then moved in to fleet & govt sales.
Welcome to the forum and best of luck with the Skyteam's.
    Cheers
    Dale
