We'll try our best.... but rear ending is all too common in the Territory!

Welcome to this part of the internet. Not much happening here, but, there's still a bit. :).

Welcome Donna. Dw about the angry guy CR is not at all full of people that go off like that, however the forums do provide the anonymity that makes some people do so!

Phew, glad I'm not a mod here these days.

Is a tricky one. On one hand, no-one wants to be welcomed by a fairly huge call-out. On the other hand, there's a place for at least having a quiet word with people about stuff to maybe temper. Or at least get their side of the story. Either way, probably a public blast might not be the greatest/most tactful way.

Things look a bit different from a different person's perspective and there's always two sides to every story.

You may or may not have your comment deleted and that's fine, it's not my decision.

I think sometimes in life delivering a shit sandwich is best done with some bread. It's more easily digested that way. Doesn't mean it isn't eaten - actually the point is to make it digestible enough so that people don't get their backs up. That's all.

Damn this is getting funny... I didn't think this was a comedy routine.

Can I just offer that sometimes I do miss not being in the job any more as so many drivers deserve a handful of tickets... Perhaps one day they'll be so overcome with community spirit that they voluntarily had their licences in to their nearest police station.

    Remember:

    - it’s a speed limit, not an aspirational goal

    - indicators indicate your intention, they do not grant you right of way

    - on a filter lane signposted 90, joining a highway with a posted speed of 90, slowing to low 70's is quiet silly

    - if you tend to see a lot of bad drivers, just consider you may be more than just the casual observer, somewhere there's a causational factor!

But I will admit that I do ride to the limit of my pursuit training (with two forces), although my licence is clean and has been since I got it in the early eighties :) (Really miss those blues and twos)

Well, I'm at a loss... At least the same standards exist as have always, everyone's always innocent , it's the other persons fault. It wasn't me, I was doing the limit, I'm not drunk, that's not my marijuana. I'm perfect, my mummy tells me that every day.

Can I just suggest that if a scary girl intimidates you again, pull over to the side of the road, take a few deep breaths, have another sip of your double decaf soy latte, read a page or two of the a Guardian and wait for her to terrorise the other drivers on the road. Perhaps if you bring your safety blanket, you could snuggle it for a minute or two until the scary girl has gone.

And if anyone else is scary, enjoying themselves on the road or otherwise making you upset, have a bex and a little lie down.

    Love ya work!!!

I know.... I didn't think that this forum would be so entertaining...
A few of my 'law enforcement' colleagues are pissing themselves.
I hope he doesn't give in and stop

I really think you might be... Do you want the number for the CATT?

It seems there's way to many things that scare you. I'm here to help if you want.

I'm sure I've read other things you've written. Do you complain to the Commissioner regularly? Letters to the editor maybe? Perhaps it's your local MP who normally get the, "Well I wouldn't normally complain, but..."

Similarly, I guess I would have hoped that someone who professes to such respect for the law would not hide behind a web forum to make outrageous claims. There are more appropriate fora for such allegations, although they are kind of restricted by the ACT Evidence Act 2011 and it's tedious insistence on imposing the hearsay rule.

Seriously, your driving on that day sucked... That particular patch of road is one to be cautious of with cars wanting to merge left, merge right, generally push their way which ever way they can. Even in a car (my big black Jaguar) I'll sweep to the outside lane as soon as the slightest opening presents.

For a fellow motorcyclist to think, oh I'll just pull in front of that motorcycle because my Subaru can clearly out accelerate it, out manoeuvre it and, well I'm in front therefore I can be in the way if I want!

If you'd like advanced driver or rider training, let me know. I'm happy to point out where you're going wrong and to help you improve your skills.

Now, give it a miss. I expect a wave next time I flash past you at warp factor five or sit for those few grumpy microseconds a centimetre to two from your rear bumper. I'll pull a wheel stand to acknowledge...

    Hugs and kisses,

    Donna :)
