So, I'm browsin' the forums in a gap between class, and I have a horrible realization: I've been here 5 months, and never said hello. Well, no time like the present.

My name's Rowan, and I've been on a bike for about 5 months (and 11000km) now. Currently still on L's, and intend to stay that way until at least July this year, at which point I'll need to get my P's for a road trip up into QLD.

When I'm not abusing my poor 250 by taking it for rides much further than it was ever designed for, I enjoy climbing up vertical pieces of rock, wandering off into the wilderness with nothing but a spoon and a piece of canvas, running until my lungs hand in their resignation papers, and engaging in acts of virtual violence. I'm also one of those spoiled ADFA brats, so if you see a black GPX floating around the Campbell/Duntroon area, please refrain from keying/Sparta-kicking it. ADFA cadets were once people too.

Having joined in on the run to Bateman's Bay on Sunday, I'm hoping to get on as many future CR rides as leave hours and workload permit. I'm also planning a round-Australia trip in Christmas as a spectacular send-off for the GPX, because I have no doubt it will either kill it, or kill me :p.

    Mate better late then never!

    welcome aboard mate!

good to see u out at the bike ride on sunday...and ill tell you what, as a compromise i will forgo the chuck norris style flying round house kick and even the customary *keyed* graphics on ur bike even though u are an adfa cadet!!...however please note how i said COMPROMISE...therefore instead of the abovementioned i will happily syphon ALL the fuel from your bike as well as letting down your tyres! :lol

hahahaha no im only jking......ill do the above mentioned as well lol

welcome to canberra riders........dont worry ive only been riding for a little less then 2 months :)

I'm pretty sure ive seen the described bike getting around Duntroon. Im one of the sparkies doing all the restoration work with preferred builders. If you ever see a white HiAce with CR stickers say Gday :)

You mean the restoration work on the ADFA accommodation blocks pat? If so, you're building my new house.

Na not the blocks, we are doing all the old places in Duntron. Currently doing four on Harrison road just up from the parade ground, but i believe the contract is for just about all of them :haha

We'll just get the government to Rollback the clock like they do eveything else........... (or we could go to QLD and then you will be twenty years in the past) that way you won't be 5 months late.
