Hey all, just booked my course for the 25th of Feb, very excited and am obsessively searching for small LAMS bikes.

I'm 5'3, any tips on what to look for?

    :welcome!: to CR Rhi.

A 250cc cruiser might work out well for you or maybe something like a CB125? Have a look in the For Sale section here as well :)

    G'day Rhi. Welcome.

Here's a link to a snazzy little web page that'll help you get an idea how you'll fit on the various shapes and sizes of bikes out there ==> http://cycle-ergo.com/

Mostly they are one in the same :)

Welcome & have a great time doing your Ls. Go sit on lots of bikes (and come to coffee & do the same). You'll soon see which types suit your height best. Don't pay too much attention to the 'seat height' in descriptions of bikes as the shape of the seat affects how easy it is to reach the ground...

Hey, welcome.... I'm 5'3" as well... a ninja or similar would be fine, also my Honda CB400 is perfect... even better since I got myself some three inch heeled boots, now I can flat foot it every time I ride, makes a huge difference. cheers :D

Actually - that 250 Virago could be perfect.

That Cycle Ergo site is DANGEROUS! I spent waaaay to long on it :D and did some reading on what I found. The Virago does look like a really good option. I generally like the look of sport bikes but given my *complete* lack of experience Id rather start on something I was comfortable on. The Hyosung GV250 looks good too, anyone have one?

    Don't tempt me with a virago just yet, I don't even have my L's! (yet.. :) )

    buuut if you have pics.....

Thanks :) I've had my eye on these, and sat on them on store, but I've been told (by the sales guys) that it won't do me any good on the highway, which is no good as I live up the highway. How do you find it?
