I am keen to play with one of these though

    http://www.barnaclebandit.com/

Barnacle is a Kickstarter project that is being done by a local guy I know... he is very close to getting the funds he needs and then will be going into production. Looks light, durable, and easy to stick in all sorts of places.
@Todd has recently joined and posted about it here, is in Facebook as well as the site I've linked above.

From what I understand it's just another brand of camera re-housed...?

My bad, I should have been more definitive. I thought everyone had been to see or knew Gaye.
Gaye does earmould with or without headphones. They are fantastic! I use mine when I sleep, at work or on the bike.

They are also the Sena reps for ACT. She speaks very highly of Jase and the forum.

The 10c has a bit of a fisheye lens but I have had it on for 3 hours witout failure and the full video was only 1.8 GB in 1080. :) you can take photos and connect to any device via universal bluetooth

Yeah pretty much, they are honest about it though. Using proven components redesigned to make it lighter and more practical.

Bought this one when I was in Europe for Christmas. Very happy for the time being.

I'm still waiting for a few accessories I ordered from Ebay (a chest strap and a side mount), First bike video shoud be here soon...

A few tests I have done so far

    https://www.youtube.com/user/tazanelli

    Bad points:
    - You can not really use the 4k on the bike as it's not fast enough (12/15 frames second), neither the 2.7 k (30 fps) so I basically only use 1080p (60 fps)
    - I probably does not have the Gopro brand support, however I did not have any troubles so far.
    - Batteries don't last very long, especially if you put the screen (removable) and the Wifi on... But they're cheap as ($20)
    - Price went up since Christmas (because of the change rate I think). I paid 300 euros ($445) for it and it's currently for sale at $549 !

    Good points:
    - Way cheaper than a hero 4
    - Everything is in the box (screen, good case, mounts ...)
    - You can download the app on your phone / tablet and use the camera with the wifi, so you don't really need to buy the AEE remote.
    - G sensor which starts automatically the video when you move.
    - Works with all the gopro accessories.
    - There is a DashCam mode for the car, erasing data every 15 minutes.

I watched the below video and decided to get a Hero 4 Black instead as my upgrade from the 3+ Black
Maybe the 2nd version of the session might be a bit better quality in a small package

How about a garmin virb? It even records speed and gps. So it produces not only audiovisual experience but also attached data? With the software to overlay the data onto the video, it just looks nice. Like a pro, maybe?
Got a friend had it on a road bicycle and looks great. Still thinking of getting one, actually.

Probably wouldn't want my speed recorded :p
That garmin virb does look very impressive.
    Any reviews from CR members?
    @isnanto

Edit: Actually ignore that, catchoftheday has Virb on sale for $140 compared to $299 at pushys. I'll get one and see for myself

After watching the review that frosty posted Im not convinced the new small Go pro is worth it.
Its a lot of money, however I'm very satisfied with my 3+ does a superb job.
I have amazing footage from my visit to the mountains in February in glorious 1080...
It does depend on you budget and factors such as what you prefer.
Using Go pro doesn't make it the best, however personally speaking I'm very satisfied with the
    quality of footage.. :67.gif:

That is the Virb, not the Virb Elite.

Virb Elite includes GPS, Altimeter, accelerometer, WiFi, etc.

Virb has none of those things.

Still a good camera though for 140.

yeah I saw that, but I don't need the extra features to be honest. I need an entry level for my day to day riding and an occasional trip down the coast. Not gonna be vlogging, Mrs has to put up with my voice, no need to make poor YT viewers put up with same... :lol
The Elite is priced at over $300 too. For $140 I think it should got alright for an entry level.
