    G'day all,

I currently live in Darwin and am currently preparing for the big move to canberra.

I own a K6 GSXR-1000 and am very keen to be a member of the forum in order to meet fellow Canberra riders and get the 'insider' information on the best places to ride and whats going on around town.

I look forward to speaking to you all on here and possibly meeting some of you in the coming weeks upon my arrival to the ACT.

    Cheers,

    John :yahoo:

I spent a winter in Darwin about 12 years ago, kinda ruined my appreciation of the sweet chill air in Canberra :) Good luck with the move (I hate moving house myself... too much to move!)

Good to see you made it. For interesting rides, stay off the Hume and Monaro highways if possible. There are some really good rides around Canberra if a little bit of dirt road doesn't worry you.

No worries - thanks guys!

My bike is due to arrive on thursday and once the dust has settled and I confirm the transport guys havent destroyed my bike, I will certainly get out and have a look at a few of those tracks. As I dont really know Canberra that well I think my phone gps is going to get a good workout! might even look at mounting my navman if it can be done easily!

If time permits, I will drop down and have a coffee next monday night to say g'day and properly introduce myself.

    Cheers,

    John

Simple rule: If you can see where you want to go is ahead of you - You're on the wrong street and need to turn at the next roundabout :lol

finally got my bike delivered today after a few issues following the delivery company rocking up with a ZZR-250 rather than my GSXR-1000... The truck driver even got a little confrontational about it and told me that it was my bike and I should check the paperwork of which had my grey gsxr1000 on it rather than a blue zzr!! The story continues, but ill save it for another time when ive settled down a little... :banghead!:

Anyway, Im pretty keen to get out and go for a ride in the next week and was wondering if anyone is still on holidays or simply available to meet up and head out.. I am thinking about heading out somewhere for a couple of hours but following a few wrong turns today that resulted in me becoming massively lost, I think it might be a better idea to head out with someone that actually knows where they are going!!

So if your keen for a ride / coffee or lunch sometime next week send me a PM.

    Cheers,

    John.
