Again, I'm deeply flattered and heartened by the comments, advice and offers here.

Looking forward to meeting again Lurch and those who came to my aid, unfortunately will not be able to shake them by the hand.

Does this forum have an association with a charity, to which I could make a donation in appreciation of the help I have been given?

Lurch, would it be appropriate to offer to compensate you and others for your time trouble, and any expenses you have encountered?

    Again, my thanks, I'm indebted.

I had a SV back in blighty, an old v reg one, when I moved over here I got the Storm, and it goes really well, I think you'll enjoy it after having the SV, slightly more power but not going to blown off it and as always with a V Twin, that sweet, sweet sound

The old lady is indeed back home, and again, the kindness shown to me and her by those who looked after her was nonpareil.

I'm on the mend, no longer need crutches, and am able to hobble about.

    Thanks once more to all.

Nik I believe I know you from the PIO forum?

I no longer post there due to a difference of opinion with the site owner.

Hi good people, just thought I'd pop in and update.

The injuries turned out to be a bit more complex than first thought. In technical terms I've got a; " Superiorly dislocated clavicle at the acromioclavicular joint. Displaced subchondrial fracture of the anterior medial tibial plateau, extending to the articular surface. Subchondrial impaction fracture of the anterior medial femoralcondyle, with subtle depression of the suchondrial bone. Both fractures have bone oedema."

In layman's terms my knee is fractured (twice) and my shoulder bone points the wrong direction.

I;m sure many here will have had worse, and I'm grateful that's all I've got. Still off work, not allowed to do anything, and using a walking stick to get about when I'm allowed to.

    Thanks again all.

BTW; I'm no longer posting at Riot Act, the censorship got to me.

Ouch! I winced reading that and I only recognise half the words. I'll send it to my sis for a full description (she's a radiologist).

I hope the healing process is eventually successful and you don't suffer any long term issues, although the shoulder bone pointing the wrong way sounds like a tennis career is out.

I write cr*p all the time on RiotACT and haven't had an issue with JB, yet... And don't get me going on censorship...R classification on games - case in point.

Try and keep the chin up during the long lay off. Ride safe everyone especially in this atrocious weather. Spidey senses on.

Wow, that's so great to hear you had such amazing support and help! Really shows what a wonderful bunch of people our fellow bike buddies are - whether we know them or not. Hope you mend really soon :)

Shame about the injuries being a bit more than hoped for. Good luck that all heals up ok, especially the knee, they can be tricky.
