I've ridden past there twice in the last week after 1030 and they have been shut.

Anyone know if they are still open for business, on holiday, or closed down?

    thanks.

    No, I haven't rung them.

Thought that somebody might know without me doing the obvious.

I don't need new tyres; being a small business owner myself, I am just aware of businesses going belly-up all over the place in the last couple of years, and I idly wondered if this was another.

I called and theres no answer, but Hal does take time off to do his own thing sometimes. You would think if he was closed for a week or so on holidays he would put a sign up, may be he has caught the bug thats going around, knocks you pretty bad for a week or two.

I go past every day and he's been closed for a couple of weeks. I haven't looked closely at the door but suspect it's a business-is-quiet-winter-break.

I got a tyre maybe a month back and Hal said something about a trip to woop woop, could have been Cape York or Darwin or the like - I can't remember the details but it was I think some annual event thingee (gee I'm full of useful info:)) & maybe for a couple of weeks.

To my understanding, Hal should be there on the weekends! He has family commitments keeping him closed during the week for awhile.

Heard today that he is back working I.T. during the week to top up his super... and then is likely to close the business when his lease is up next year.

far as I have read in other forums and gone past to see a mostly empty workshop, I think CLOSED is the answer....

Def closed - all his stock etc was removed weeks ago - there is a rally car and some car tyres in there now.

Poor ol Hal - there has been at least 10 occasions over the last 2 months where i wanted to go there for something, but had to resort to CMC (which makes the cut even deeper)

curious ending for a great business...pity he didn't have a big farewell bash! The web site offers no clues.... FWIW the email address is gearup@tjstyres.com.au
