my latest acquisition has finally shown a sign of life. I picked up a 89 gsxr750 that was in the process of being converted to a track bike. So far i have got both rider and passenger road seats, got a usable loom, modified the battery holder to allow for the piggy back shock, new plugs, new fuel filters, side panels, rear brake light, rear guard, switch gear and throttle, photos to follow. still to happen- tyres- currently slicks, headlights, indicators, paint, grips( might be heated ones yet) battery.

So yesterday after i got new plugs i set up a test tank, jumper leads to ol henry and then gave it a gentle prod with the starter button. It turned over a bit ( i had previously turned the engine over by hand with no plugs and a dose of oily fuchs down each pot) then a bit of a woof from the muffler. I gave it a bit of throttle and it fired up. a bit smokey at first but that was to be expected after a few seconds it had warmed and settled in to an even idle. I was stoked and a very happy lad. Now that i know the motor runs its time to turn my attention to the other bits.

if anyones looking for a single seat tail by raceglass drop me a line and we can work something out.

Is that the spagforth cruiser? H-D took on a few ideas from that model - brakes and suspension come to mind.
