    Hi folks,

My gf recently dragged me to Canberra from overseas ( France ) so I don't know much about the place and the surroundings... but I already love it! (except the cold weather and the fact that you guys drive on the wrong side of the road :D)

I just decided to buy a reasonably cheap commuter / weekend toy... So I got a pretty decent 2008 KLE 500.

I have been riding road bikes since I turned 18 and I previously owned a zr7 and a tdm... thought the KLE would be a bit short on power but I really like it (and i's so comfy cause I'm very tall)... Well except on the freeway!

So If they are any keen riders here... I'm always up for new adventures!

Oh and English is of course my second language so I apologise in advance for any misspellings.

Welcome! Your English seems better than most of ours! :21.gif:

The good news is that this is about as cold as it gets. It will get warmer :)

I quite like kawasaki watercooled 500 twins with a 6 speed gearbox. Did you see many in Europe?

It was very common to buy a gpz or an ER5 as a first bike in France... But they only got 5 speed gearboxes. Now it's all about er6s and cb 500s... I quite like the sound of the kawasaki twin too!

We don't have the same legislation for young drivers and don't have the same system of L or P plates. The rule is that if you are under 21, your have a 34 hp restriction... But almost every bike can be limited mechanically or electronically so you can basically start with whatever you want... This is why I started with a 34 hp ZR7 :D

And there is a 100hp restriction for all the bikes which should be revoked soon.
