Just wanted to post this informal practice 'session' for those interested in coming along.
Hi, can you please give me some info on tonight's the practice session in Kambah? I have a re-test booked on Saturday and I haven't practiced since I failed it almost a year ago so I'm very interested to go.
So where exactly is this talking place?
Map me bro
The location can be found here:
3. Kambah - This one is in the carpark on Jenke Circuit just down from the Caltex servo. This one is in good nick. Someone has kindly repainted parts of it recently. There is some crap on the bitumen at the quick stop that may impede your ability to stop quickly, but it is safe. Saturday and Sunday afternoons are generally quiet, but there is a church (or something similar) at the other side of this carpark, so it can get busy at times.
Not sure if any experienced riders are coming along, either way, we'll be there having a go
Seeing as parts for the W didnt show, I *MAY* have time to pop along
Thanks, I'll be there
Thanks everyone, particularly Miggzie for coming along and giving the granddaddy zed some pointers.
Thanks everyone - it was very helpful
Apologies everyone for having to leave abruptly. My wife received sad news about her father in the UK last week, so after a long day at work, her head just isn't in the game to tackle MOST practice at the moment.
On a brighter note, is was great meeting fellow riders
Understandable - was also very hot. Happy to catch up and try again before your test if you feel it would be helpful.
Thanks dude, we'll organise another go in the comings days. Many thanks
Got our MOST test tomorrow. Looks like it'll be in wet conditions
Good luck for tomorrow, the rain really won't be an issue, actually better than the stupid heat we've had recently. I haven't kept up to date as I should have, did you guys get any full licence riders out to give you a hand? Seems to have dropped of a bit.
keep your arms loose the whole day, relax & listen to the instructions (ask if you are unsure about *anything*).
Thanks guys. We did have one P plate rider come along (sorry dude, I can't remember your name), which was very helpful and much appreciated.
True, rain would be better than sweating it out in the blazing sun. So hopefully by this time tomorrow, the missus and I will be added to the ranks of Provisional licence holders - woohoo
It's all doable in the rain, including the emergency stop.
Hopefully a re-test next week.
It's the little things that catch you out. Both of you, or just one of ya?
Me, foot down twice at end of cone weave, and missed head check x two. Missus touched line on u turn and emergency stop distance.
Oh, re test here we come!!!!
