I'm booked in for a re-test for my P's on Saturday and haven't practiced since I failed nearly a year ago. I just checked out Bruce CIT and the markings are barely visible. Any advice on where's best to practice in Canberra?

EPIC isn't a great place to do it, especially not since it's currently recovering from Summernats. (Usually the carpark it is in is shut for a couple of weeks after Summernats, due to the fact it is Tuff St and therefore where a bunch of the burnouts happen when people decide to get chucked out).

The markings at EPIC are also the old ACT markings, not the different spacing etc as are now used for the cone weave. Something to bear in mind for those that use it.

Finally, EPIC cracked epic poos at us for using it back in the day and it's a hornets nest not worth kicking imho.

I know there's some practise down at Kambah tonight.

I was thinking of running a session not this weekend but next at Bruce but that's alas a bit late for you. If you want me to run you through it @Llara Weaver then I can do that tonight after work or tomorrow, or Thursday.

Thank you @supamodel !!...I will try to track down the practice tonight at Kambah but, I would be most interested to have another go tomorrow night, if you are available (I think it's going to be raining Thursday so, not so ideal). Are you Northside or Southside?... I'm North but happy to travel to you :)

Northside. Bruce CIT is best for me anyway, I'm about 5 mins down the road. Tomorrow night would be perfect. I'll bring cones and how I go through it.

Did all my practice at EPIC, no issues at all. Your right, in and around major events it can be out of action

That's no problems at all (neither is the scooter). I just don't have the scooter in the shed going to bring that along, so I'll be demoing on my Monster... kinda the opposite, but the techniques are pretty similar.

Oh I'm not saying it'll be a huge problem OR everyone will get told off... but seriously, Heidi and DJY ran practises there for a couple of years, then we gold told to bugger off. After that point, people would periodically also be told to bugger off even if they were practising solo. Wasn't helped by a couple of people being a bit retarded and using it not just for MOST practise.

So yeah, my advise is that I wouldn't because it's not worthy of kicking it up too hard especially not when there's a few other practise places that are still happy to have people use.

Also, the point stands - the cone weave is the former ACT one, which is different to the test you now do. The U-turn box outer line is correct at EPIC, but the inner line no longer applies. (They're the two central changes). Finally I don't think the EPIC markings contain the exit lane required for the swerve, because the former ACT test only had the swerve out part.

Hi @supamodel - do you think we could meet a bit earlier today? I just learned that I have another engagement tonight. Perhaps just after 5?? Otherwise, if you were available Saturday (when it's going to be cooler!!), I have my test scheduled at 3:00, so I could do some practice beforehand, maybe???
