Motor bike riding is in my blood and I was lucky enough to have caught the bug in my early teens
over the years I have had a few varied bikes
Sorry about the quality (not a puter wizz)
LIFE IS GOOD on two wheels and better on ONE

Suzuki TC 90 pre licence “L&P plates” got to start some where
Yamaha SR 500 first road bike
Kawasaki 500 thought this was the ultimate
Kawasaki Z1R MK2 then I found speed and wheelies
Kawasaki GPZ 1100 a backward step at the time
Kawasaki GPZ 750 Turbo so much fun and wheelies
Yamaha Trials bike (the married years)
Yamaha TRX 850 guess what not married anymore :D
Yamaha YZFR1 wheelies and more wheelies, too hard on the wrists
Yamaha 04 FZ1 great all round bike and great wheelies
Yamaha 07 FZ1S with fairing expect the same with more top end to play with
LOVE MY NEW BIKE it's a riders bike!!!!!!!!
    what only 3 pictures!!!!!
ENJOY THE ROAD, ENJOY THE FREEDOM, ENJOY YOUR MATES

Re: My Toys over the years

It makes me wonder what my collection of bikes will end up being over my life time.

I've already got it in my head Im keeping my 250 and my GSXR, bikes after that, I'm not sure yet. Interesting times ahead of us, with the rise of new engines and safer softer bikers.

I wonder if we are in a golden age of motorcycles right now, and depsite technical advancements, we may see bikes get slower over the next few decades and 'safer'? Less raw throttle to engine control, more computer controlled systems?

The Z1R is a Kawasaki, most definitely not a Yamaha....and my comment is a Mad Max quote which shows how truly tragic I have become

You know Gos of all my bikes I would love to have the Z1R Mk11 and the 750 Turbo still parked in my shed
so I do know they are KAWASAKI'S I obviously had my mind else where! maybe hoping the bike i pick up tomorrow will be as much fun as they were.

Re: My Toys over the years

There was a guy up at EC last Sunday who was trying to flog a GpZ750 Turbo, apparently all there and complete, just hadn't been started for a few years.......I should have got his number.....

The Mk2 looks like a great old rig, they were and still are excellent examples of the big K, and I am not surprised at all that you wish you still owned them. I made a pact with myself many years ago, after selling my first *ever* road bike (a 1968 CB125T), that I would not sell any more bikes........so far, apart from a brief 9 year hiatus from the Pearl, this pact has been upheld. I just could not sell any of my old Zeds now, they are part of the family.

Re: My Toys over the years

Don't panic mate, I might have a GpZ1100 shortly.......a B1 1981 model, it would be *real* easy to turn this into and Eddie Lawson Replica.......not sure if it will become available or not - but if this one doesn't, there will eb another on the horizon soon enough - they seem to eventually be sucked into *The 4TH Dimension* !!

I grew up (hang on some would say I haven't yet) in and around Goulburn
when Lee Robuck and Paul Feeney were racing
everybody had a bike back then, we came up to the races around Macarthur (the suburb) before houses were built
watchin mal campbell on his GS 1000 doing wheelies half way up Jackie Howe Cr
