Hi my name is Scott and new here. My brother and I actually rode out to Tharwa this arvo at the back of the group. We caught up with the group just over the bridge by accident and tagged along. I was on a copper coloured SV.
Most of you could have made to tharwa and back before I got there lol.
Only had the bike a couple months didn't know the road and seen a bit wet road here and there so took it fairly slow.
Was great to talk to few of you and get to look and some real nice bikes.
Hope to see you out there again.

    Cheers Scott

    G'day Scott.

I was on the white CBRThou with a pillion, I saw you guys just after Point Hut Crossing. Nice bike those SV's (Didn't check if it was the 650 or 1000), I had one of the naked 1000 ones a while back and loved it.

    Welcome :up

    Thanks for the welcome guys.
    No its a 650
I had not ridden in about 12 years so thought a 650 should be enough to get me back in the saddle

Welcome! Great day for it! I was on Canberra's 'best' painted gixxer 600.

Yep, road was a little slippery in places but CR's a great group, on any of the rides it's 'ride at your own pace', much easier to have a chat or beer after that way.

    Good to meet you both.

SV650s are great, they're a nice bike. I was on @RobotJebus' one today and they really are a capable bike. I gave it a pizzling and it loved it.

    Welcome aboard :).

    Thanks Supermodel.
I am slowly getting used to the bike and from what I have read they don't handle to bad. Around town I am getting fairly comfortable and pushing it a bit more each time.

Was nice to meet you Rakesh. Will be a way all week but will try drop in the following week for coffee. Hopefully me and my brother can tag along for another ride in the near future.

. Rude.. you shouldn't pizzle on someone else's bike.... :p. Hi and welcome to the forums... Definitely a great way to start a group ride.. I wondered if some of the new faces were from cr or if they'd happened upon the group as well.. I was on the freshly washed therefore shiny and black and not as previously muddy and matte Gsr750... cheers!

They are alright. There's a couple of limitations that can be overcome relatively cheaply. I really am a huge fan and am reminded of just how capable they are every time I ride one. I did enjoy the ride immensely and good a good bit of pace on the borrowed SV :).

It's the new frame etc though yeah?

Yep, I was on the gen2. The nickname is an ironic one :).

Not my bike either :D. I normally ride a Monster but was kindly offered a go on someone else's bike. I figured I had to give it a good ride to make sure the bike felt loved.
