Borrowed bikes rev almost as hard as demo bikes...
You're not likely to get another go anyway, may as well make it worth while :up

    It's like talking to myself.

Some people are still foolish enough to give you another go :D

Good people lend you a go on their bike, great people buy you a beer afterwards.

Anyway, somewhat a derail of the thread here... back on track: welcome aboard. We like bikes and stuff here and we love going on rides. Post up if you guys head out and you might get a few other like-minded people along :).

Only had the SV for a few months and has been about 12 years or more since I owned a bike and the last one was a old Z500 I brought cheap and rebuilt. Does not matter if it is old as long as it is fun.
I was hoping to meet a few of you on coffee night but as luck has it I was in Dubbo 2 weeks ago for a few days. First night there had Chinese for dinner. I got a bad case of food poisoning and that caused me to become dehydrated and I passed out.
Unfortunately I was walking at the time I passed out and done my ankle in and spent the night in hospital on a drip.
On a good note they thought my ankle was broken but turned out I just messed up a few ligaments.
Still have no movement in my toes and only a little ankle movement so no riding at the moment (can't change gears).
Plus the Xray picked up a .22 air rifle bullet in my ankle (miss spent youth) and I need to see a surgeon.

Glad to see dubbo chinese hasnt improved since my last visit there. Funny about the air rifle slug. Were u playing brandings with the slug gun or just being a silly bugger with mates? My nephew still has a slug in his leg. It was because if u got on the minibike anything went and the tennis ball got boring so his brother got out the slug gun. it was funny at the time.;)

Just playing silly buggers with mates. Had my fair share of stupid wounds just didn't realize one was still in there.
Ankle has a got a little bit of movement back so Mite see if I can change gears in a day or 2.

Around town probably isn't the best place to push it Scott, there can be a lot of crap around the metro area like oil from buses, morons in cars etc. It is much better to practice these things on longer rides, then when you get home from a long ride, riding around town seems very pedestrian. Just don't be in a too much of a rush to make massive improvements in speed, take your time and it all should be fine.
