OK here she is a 2002 BMW R1150 GS Adventurer, I'm pretty stoked, I took this pic on the way home in the Royal National Park. The bike in the back ground is my mate Corey's 1200 GS Adv.
She has just under 19000 k's, came with Remus Genesis muffler , Hepco and Bekker top case and a few other Touratech add ons . For a 2002 model it looks really good
It's fkn sic, A couple of things I noticed,
    1. you can ride with your legs on top of the crash bars and ride it like a cruiser while keeping your legs warm.
    2. from the riders seat the tanks reminds me of the Skywhale . very similar silhouette :lol
    3. Now there's not 1 jarring bump in the road between Berowra and Canberra
    DSC_0029.jpg

edit - the latch on the top box lid is broken but the guy is getting it replaced under warranty and will post me the new lid when it arrives
That's the reason for the tape. I'll take the box off and just leave the rack on.

Nice bike. After 20 years my K75 still looks and rides well, your R1150 has a long life ahead of it.
    Cheers

Time to replace the ghetto LED tail light.

The tail light on the bike has been annoying me since I bought the bike so today when my new tail light arrived I went straight out to the shed and replaced it.
    1. This is what the brain dead do to fill in time and decide they want a LED tail light.
2 .Shield your eyes and hold your breath, I unscrew the lens and here you can see the quality workmanship that went into such a job.
    3. New smoked lens proper LED tail light.

Hey - nice bike! I read something the other day on the 1150's iABS/ABS-II system. It may throw a fault code or flashing ABS light because it thinks the tail light globe is blown. The resistance across the
tail light circuit is probably now much lower with LED's as opposed to the incandescent globe.

Not saying it'll happen to you or this is even fact, but if you do strike any trouble since the mod, it might be worth considering this before taking to the stealership.
    Enjoy!

I didn't have any troubles. My bike is 02 model Just before twin spark motor and the linked front and rear brake and CANBUS. Also hoping my wallet will never see a BMW dealership.

This is not Two sticks road ?
As it's been a while since I have been up the Brindies 10 + years. I was supposed to go up to Mt Coree but took the wrong track and ended up down here on the power line track. Not too many big GS's have been down the newly named 3 sticks track. My mate Corey followed on his GS1200, ha ha. not two sticks road .jpg not two sticks road 1 .jpg

Only on the later model r1200s with CANBUS, the ABS lights will come up when the battery is going flat or if you start it too quickly though.

I've driven the work Camry on worse :p

a blind man could drive a work Camry on worse. I was pooping my pants. Once I committed to the first few meters going down there was no turning around to go back up.

Much like when I took the Camry through there :D

The look on the face of the 4wd driver who stopped to tell me "You can't drive that F'n thing along these tracks, you're F'n crazy" was priceless. Didn't have the heart to tell him that it was just the way the 100 year old GPS was directing me to some hut in the Brindabellas and I had no idea where I was going. I just smiled and said "It's alright, it's a government car".

I also came across a few trail bike abandoned on the sides of the track, but I figured the owners were just watering some introduced flora and kept going ;)

We didn't make Two Sticks Road on the way back from Tumut. I turned in the wrong track and it ended up coming out on the power lines track and back down into Brindabella Valley. By the time we got off the power lines track and back up the top to Piccadilly Circus It was 5pm. I spotted the proper entrance to Two Sticks Road about another 50m past the track we entered up on Piccadilly Circus. Doh!

Copped a little damage. I dropped her 3 times going down and broke off the hinge on one of the fog lamps coming down the clay track. Had to pull out the electrical tape and wrap it back in place. That's when the picture was taken. Tourance Metzler's are not made for clay. It was like trying to ride down a steep lumpy slip n slide. Pretty slow going.

Yestarday we went Canberra, Braidwood , Araluen, Moruya back to Araluen, Majors Creek, Captains Flat, Queenbeyan Canberra. Calves are bit sore as we pretty much stood on the pegs from Moruya to Captains Flat. It's a good ride that way. We only came across maybe 6 4wd's .

Awesome work! Yeah, when we kicked off: https://goo.gl/maps/NUpf9 the other week, it got a bit hairy indeed... Tacky, loose, steep!!!
