Grazer, it is very possible that SimFox has not had the time to look at nor acknowledge the PM you sent. Work, dealing with other external things sometimes stops people from getting back to you right away.

If you feel that strongly, why don't you send a follow up PM to see if the PM was in fact received right away, or if the video was of any use rather than the comments above.

Really? Someone sends you something that will potentially help you find the bike that you love, that you really want back (and that a whole bunch of people put time into helping find); and you don't even say 'thanks'. No-one is too busy to say 'thanks'.

I think that there was a thread recently about new members asking for help and then pissing off without saying thanks and / or giving back / or contributing in any other way..... perhaps this is just one of those cases??? ie this particular person's first post was on the 8th Dec asking for help, then the last post was on the 16th Dec.... 17 posts in total, all relating to the one issue....

I wouldn't worry too much about sending a follow up PM, Grazer :)

PM was sent 31/12/2012 - I didn't want to unnecessarily incriminate some poor ute owner so I didn't post it publicly.

Whether Simfox replies or not, there is someone out there who has stolen a bunch of bikes and most likely will go for it again... Keep up the great work on finding this guy.

Agreed. It's in everyone's best interest to have this person/s be held accountable.

Since the OP was encouraged to join by a Global Moderator of this forum you would expect they would be responsive to help offered on this forum. Maybe we should give Simfox the benefit of doubt on this one before they are relegated to CR freeloader.

Depending on if its organised or oppurtunistic... the latter tends to s**t wherever the oppurtunity presents itself where as the former tends to be a little more.. well.. organised...

Wow! Sorry to hear. What a bunch of lowlifes.
Good to see the CR community getting behind something like this - I'll keep my eye out and let my mates (that ride) know, as 2 of them live in Quangers...

Hope you get more positive news soon.

Simfox has been to coffee a couple of times for the record. She's currently working really long hours for a project, preparing for an australia day gig and building a house. I've contacted her and she's really sorry she hasn't seen the PM but will try to respond tonight.

Any ninja's for sale around the sydney region or the coast that are unusually cheap might be worth a look as they wouldn't expect you to seek your stolen bike so far away.

Should add, I don't really expect this to be it, but it could have travelled this far.

Still trawling and will see if I can find anything else

Not being a nay-sayer.. but... these are "cheap" bikes that are *easily* written off based on slight cosmetic damage alone (Throw in a scuffed engine cover or two..) and that will put you well within cooee of 50%+ value of repair. Therefore, they are a *hot* item for parting rather than selling whole... I would be very surprised if you found the bike for sale anywhere as a whole unit... If it already hasn't been utilised by someone or wasn't stolen-to-order, then my suggestion would be rather look for reasonable priced/sus looking parts sales - don't focus on the cheap either as when offloading as parts these guys know they can get at least average price if not better, no point undercutting yourself...

Just a suggestion rather than looking for a whole bike (particularly given its a LAMS bike and a decent seller.....)

That's a fair comment, also trying to look at parts as well
