I LIKE IT LURCH! looks great.

*goes nit picking for a spelling error or two..*

The "about" link on the top menu bar comes up with:

"This is an example of a WordPress page, you could edit this to put information about yourself or your site so readers know where you are coming from. You can create as many pages like this one or sub-pages as you like and manage all of your content inside of WordPress."

I know you're probably still adding text etc, but in case you missed this bit.. ^^

    What we've done:
"Suspension Smith has many satisfied customers.
As well as general suspension servicing, Laurie is always pushing the boundaries and coming up with new ideas.
Currently in the workshop there is a new Girder-style front set-up being created:"[pic]

New ideas on what? (suspension obviously), but maybe something more constructive like:
As well as general suspension servicing, Laurie is always pushing the boundaries and coming up with new ideas to get the best suspension setup for you and your machine

Just tryin to be constructive :) Hope it helps! :D

Let me know when content is finalised and I'll point out all the instances of apostrophe abuse :p

Possibly there may be a members gallery of those people who have had work done by Laurie.

You know like a front end rebuild or rear end, ohlin or racetech.
People like visuals and seeing what work was done may ellicit some more business.

As for laurie weighing people, shiiiite....

The text box down the bottom of each of the pictures with the little [...] isn't clickable, which is where I was trying to click to get extra info. The text box on the top right is clickable though.

Probably worth putting in that his creations have been shown in magazines e.g. the zx10 chookie, and the girder front end. Also the deltabox sleeper?

Maybe a quick spiel somewhere that highlights the importance of getting the suspension right on your ride.

Something like "Correctly adjusted suspension creates a safer and more pleasurable motorcycling experience, as well as saving wear and tear on your tyres. With over XX years experience in performance suspension, Suspension Smith can make a difference to your daily ride by simply adjusting your bike's suspension to suit you. Suspension Smith can also provide valuable advice and service if you are interested in aftermarket and performance suspension systems."

some good tips here Lurch. I would be happy to provide a testamonial for the effectiveness of Laurie's work - on the MFP12 for example - and also for his assistance a few years ago when helping out with advice for spring-rates on a road-based 750 dirtbike ;)

Will have a look at the site tomorrow and pick the eyes out of it for you .....

    Fixed

    Agree'd.
Like I said, still trying to flesh out the content.

Does the $50 set up graphic look 'less cheap' now?

Are you wanting any suggestions on content?

If so, I reckon it would be good to have a bit on Laurie's background, history and qualifications. Those that have been there have seen the certificates on the wall and the trophies on the shelf, so it would add some authority to things for people who don't know him and give them confidence that he knows what he's talking about.

    Nice work Laurie and Lurch!

I've heard countless recommendations from various people about Laurie's work so no doubt there will be A LOT of great testimonials on the site once it gets fully up and running.

Good work Lurch for helping out I dont have any useful nit picking to do so I'll leave it at that haha

    Looks great Lurch and Laurie.

    Some small suggestions:

~ Add some pics to the $50 set-up page. You dont need to add text, but it will appeal to people seeing the same thing done to their bike as on the website.
~ Add additional detail of the basic services & Parts offered. ie. For Seal replacements, Fork and Shock replacements and Rebuilds, Adjustment and basic Suspension service. Brands used......
~ Maybe some Pics of the Workshop. I know that Laurie keeps a clean shop! It pays advertising a clean workshop.

Not sure if Laurie does it, but do you accept jobs from out of area that are sent in and sent back? I know its hard to find your kind of service in regional areas and know people are wanting this kind of service.

You've got "what we do" and "what we've done"... I'm seeing a theme there that you cancould follow.
The 6 questions people can ask: Who, Where, Why, What, When, How?

"who we are"; "where we are"; "why suspension matters"; "what we do"; "When, and how long might things take?";"how we do it".

From there you cancould add further details as necessary, e.g. in the "What we do section, have the 'what we've done stuff'.

Edit: I just realised this reads as an imperative. It isn't, it's a suggestion. And I'm an arse. :)
