    Damn straight!

Make sure you check the back of your helmet Pat - you might have whacked it on the ground without realising. Hopefully you can get the bike fixed without too much trouble

lol true. The only thing thats got me worried is that i turn 19 soon and i dont know if you remain indestructible for the rest of your teens after 18.. :whistle

dont worry about it dude, something tells me if we had gone to Kowen it would be me in your position, feeling partly responsible for your cracked fairings :p
Might take you up on that plastex offer though, cheers dude!

    Cheers mate!

    Hell yea :rockon

Tell me about it, and this is the 2nd time ive done it to

Luckily i bounced and slid on my ass first up before my head made contact with the dirt on the side of the road, so should be right for damage. After a clean it doesnt look scrathed either which is a plus :biggrin

Hell yea! While the roo had upped and gone by the time i had turned around, i was still pretty impressed with the solid hit the Tenere took. I dont want to think what would of happened if i had been on the 530 :nooo2

Glad to hear you walked away Pat....

    Bring on the roo kulls....

But as a matter of interest, I have been told that if I am ever faced with hitting a roo to aim for its tail cause they cant turn around....

glad youre ok Pat...you did remarkably well to get home intact (mostly).
Better get that tenere fixed up! It'd be great to hook up with you (and any other CR DS riders) as I'd like to get experience in DS riding.

Removed and drained the tank this morning. Flushed it out and cleaned it like my life (or, Charlies life) depended on it :lol
4 Hot water/detergent rinses and a blow out with the air compressor later, off we went.

A huge thanks to Charlie for fixing it up for me :up

Im procrastinating like a little bitch about trying to piece this fairing back together. I might have a crack at it tonight, as right now the KTM is getting some attention, as it to, is in bits :cry

You're going to end up with some weird looking bikes if you get your parts mixed up on re-assembly :lol

Can anyone help me out with places to contact if I'm looking for older, hard to find Yamaha parts? Australia or overseas.

    Cheers.

Hey mate. Yea figured i'd dust some cobwebs off and see how the forum was going.

Cheers for that. Ebay US has given me nothing in the past few months of looking but i'll give that find part a try.

Specifically, a new bikini fairing. Ive had the old one fixed up and painted but its still a but fragile and im worried the vibrations from riding are going to cause it to re-crack.
The projects going slowly, but well. Apart from a few cosmetic things that need doing i just need to rewire it with new lights and blinkers and it will be ready for rego. Ill chuck some photo's up later.

Great to see you still interested in bikes dude. Is the KTM still in pieces/still owned by you?
