Very happy to announce the arrival of the new baby to the house.

    2015 Triumph Tiger 800 XcX.

Very happy with the machine so far but only managed 500 or so k's in the two weeks that I have had her. Rode down to the Island for the last Preston round on Sunday, the cruise control is a fantastic new feature on a bike I think, being "old school", I am fast warming to all the mod-cons that come with the bike, apart from the cruise, there is of course ABS, TTC, heated grips, ride by wire, full engine mapping and rider modes and a whole lot more. I have also added a taller, adjustable screen, radiator guard, oil filter guard and attached a bigger tray on the back to carry camping gear. Big trip coming up starting the 19th of Sept, looking forward to that on this machine.

Ahhh, yes, there is a powerlet adjacent to the ignition switch, I have attached a Touratek accessory bar and RAM mount just above it which will take a GPS.

This bike is FAR and away better than the Benelli.

Hey, well done! I picked up my XRx a couple of weeks ago from Melbourne City Triumph. Love it and the XCx too. I've been enjoying the heated grips for the first time in Canberra and I use cruise control all the time.
Has yours got the European socket? I'm still to get an adaptor for mine

Yes, European.....what a pain. Triumph Aust' did give some excuse for not fitting or supplying adaptors but Jcar do carry them for about $29(?) ea.

Big trip is over ..... time for planning the next one. A couple of photos on the way round.
Not looking quite so new after the first 1-2000k's. Hay Plain instead of the dirt between Ivanhoe and Menindee Lakes. I hate that road with a vengenance. Every time I use it, I swear it will be the last time. This is the last time I'll say it's the last time, but it's the last time I will ride the Hay Plain.

Tennant Creek caravan park, packing up to leave. Spent the night here, hot day previously and they had a swimming pool...beer and pizza. Great night, bullshit, beer and pizza, what more could you want??
