Hey all, names micmac, don't ride anything yet, but a mate put me on to here, I know its probably terribly cliche, but am looking at grabbing one of those beautiful ninja 250r's. but in the meantime, need to look for a second hand bike that doesnt need much work, looks arent all that important, but something that is learner legal and cheap.
Thanks all, hope to be up riding around in no time,
    MicMac

Hi micmac :helllo good idea to start on an old bike. That way when you drop it (and this is guaranteed) it won't matter. Then when you feel ready go test ride lots of lams bikes before you get your heart set on one. test riding is sooo much fun :biggrin

+1 on getting an old bike first.

I'm still an L plater on a bike that's older than me, I haven't dropped it yet but, since I'm not too worried about dropping it I can concentrate on learning the limits of the bike and work on my riding technique. If the bike drops in the process then its all good, live and learn.

Mind you I still see all the sexy new bikes everyones riding around on and can't wait till I can afford one myself.

good luck, have fun and enjoy!
