Or, Go for a good ride on it (B'day Ride) and realise that you currently have the second best bike on the market and be happy with it :)

So after riding it home, i have realised that the second gear of a 109 is a glorious thing :)

No racing off from the lights, just using each gear for it's proper use!

Well, it's with a heavy heart that i am notifying everyone that i am putting my bike up for sale.

Before this happens, i need to have a saddle bag and an indicator repaired (the ones a kangaroo ripped off) and get it fully serviced. my main reasoning is that i never get out on the longer rides any more. So i'm going back to a mid size cruiser for a little while... a shadow or something.

This decision has not been influenced by anyone else, i just want to use the sale to clear my car debt allowing me to save for ... well maybe not bigger, but different things!!

I've had a good innings on it 71.5k km's but think it's time for a slower pace for me!

When the Kanagroo bounced off of my leg, it hit the pannier, and ripped the support hook, not the locking mechanism off of the pannier, it was that which broke the indicator :(

71.5k km's is a great run - no one can accuse you of having it sit around in the shed.

Sorry to hear you are selling it though

If the reason to sell is to come out free of car debt then Id encourage it. I guess you'd have to downgrade severely but it would only need to be temporary.

Normally i'd agree, but whats an M109 worth with 70,000kms on it? Surely it'd be more worth it to keep it as a 2nd bike if you can, rather then sell for a super low price.
