[ACT] Tharwa, Honeysuckle, Orroral & Boboyan
Taking in quaint old Tharwa this ride extends to the end of the sealed section of Boboyan Rd and then doubles back to take in the former Orroral Valley and Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Stations. Wildlife is abundant, especially beyond Apollo Rd, so take care. This route offers many variations, be it just up Apollo Rd and back (Honeysuckle Run), the full route minus Orroral Valley or whatever your heart, mood or the weather dictates. Take care on Apollo Rd in both directions if unfamiliar - there is a nasty 'dip' that can cause most bikes to get air.
A. Starting from Point Hut X-Ing, head along to the Tidbinbilla/PointHut T-Junction then turn left towards Tharwa. This section assumes a non-stop run to the end of the sealed section of Boboyan Rd.
B. End of the Sealed Section. Turn around and now the options begin.
C. Turn off to Orroral Valley - site of a former Tracking Station. The road here is in poor condition and has lots of roo's. But its nice none the less.
D. Top of Orroral Valley Rd.
E. Turn off to Apollo Rd - site of former Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station. A fantastic road that you wish just kept going. Be careful of the hump in the middle, and on the way down watch those left handers!
F. Top of Apollo Rd.
G. Return home at the Start location
