    has anyone seen this this before. VS Commodore wheel hub snap off. It happened to me yesterday. As you can the bearings are fine and the hub is a bit over 12 months old.

    I heard it crack about 5 km's from home and the steering go weird so I pulled over grabbed the wheels and shook them. The wheel had some movement but couldn't see nothing wrong. I crawled back home at walking pace with the hazzards on and the wheel came off when I went to reverse into the driveway so only had to skull drag the car a few meters into the driveway on 3 wheels race car style.

    Interesting. Looks to me like the stub axle has failed after it's cracked and then the failure has propagated from that crack. Had issues getting old bearing cone off the axle replacing the hub and took to it with a chisel or something and marked the axle?
