    Ok all...
some may have seen some photos on Facebook, others have seen it on a ride already...

but for your viewing pleasure, here is just a little something I picked up last week.

Picked it up on Friday, and headed away for the weekend.
Weekend over in Shoalhaven to bond was just what I needed :)
WOW This bike does it all!
Skyhook semi active suspension is proving to be incredible! Who knew Oallen Ford Rd could be so smooth?!!??!! Amazing handling right from the get-go.

It came with panniers but I added a top box for convenience and to give me different options and wow you can fit a HEAP in that sucker!

Over the weekend got to test it out in a really wide variety of conditions.... and even in the rain on Sunday coming back on Oallen Ford Rd, found myself wanting to go back and play in the dirt and the puddles again and again.

It is tall.. and my legs aren't long... but I'm absolutely loving it!
I have a list of things I might do to it already... but for now just riding it.

    You know the line -
    "Beware the dirt side"
OK so they had a bad actor who got the line wrong but you know what he meant.

On behalf of myself, CanberraRIDERS and the wider Facebook community, I have but one thing to say.

    Thank. F**k. For. THAT!
No more polls. No more threads. No more video reviews. It is done.

Oh, and also congrats, I guess.

Good to see that you have finally decided to spread the load a bit. Congratulations on the new bike and on giving the old bike a rest. :)

It is a sad story, which can only be told over a wine or a dozen. When are you planning a ride to Wagga to hear the sad tale and sacrifice a few brain cells?

Now I don't have to stop here if I don't want...

A shame though that a heap of GS's came past so there would have been heaps of traffic... so I turned around and went back and enjoyed the corners :)

DJY, you going to grab some off-road training, assuming you haven't done any, of course (forgive me please if would be remotely attempting to teach you to suck eggs)? I am going to do it again when the BMW Safari rolls around come November, mainly because it's AWESOME fun, but also because I would not likely have thought about a heap tricks which made my off-road experience 100% more awesome. Standing while riding is one. It feels so wrong at first, then it feels wrong NOT to stand. I had to smile as I noticed someone - possibly from the forums? - staring at me as I came back from the Cotter cornering ≥100Kmph while standing up... Once you get used to that, you won't want to go back... So much more stable/safe... The guys at BMW Rider Training claim that if you sit while riding offroad, you are just a passenger... If it's good enough for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameron_Donald ... (he was helping to train us noobs) ;)

Nerriga road doesn't count, especially when you're riding with sportsbikes on it!
    Nice try :p
