    Its been a constructive few days in the shed.

    I made up some small extension pieces for the headlight brackets. This allowed me to move the headlight and fairing forward about an inch and down a bit more than I already had it. Now its nicely inline with the tank and rest of the bike more.

    On Friday, my clip-ons arrive (about a week early too!) from Hong Kong. Fairly straight forward to fit with the trickiest bits being to get them lined up evenly and squarely. And as the previous picture shows, it now has bar-end mirrors. I'm still not a huge fan of bar-end mirrors, but they certainly look the part.

    This obviously left the handlebar risers on the top triple clamp. As an interim measure, I just made up a neat plate to go over them. The long term plan will be to find another top triple clamp and grind them off. I just dont want to do it to this one.

    Lastly, the font brake line get swapped out for a shorter braided one.
    Also, the front forks got a boost in pre-load. About a $1.50 worth.

    This weekend has been to work on luggage for the cafe racer. Not really two things that go together...
    Made up a frame (well, highly modified an existing one) and put together two old-school duffel backpacks for the right look.

    Not usually a fan of the "cafe" style but I do like the W800's (considered for a short time getting one, but it really wouldn't suit my riding requirements).

    Dad had some wheels for his old TY250a clear powdercoated a few years back, and they came up a treat. Only problem is that if you chip or damage it, it's a little harder to repair than a regular clear coat.

    I haven't asked but I'm not sure they would be keen to heat a fuel tank to 300° to PC it though. I know someone who clear coated a polished Land Rover and that came up well though
