    Hi all,

Finally got some internet back so I can upload photos...

So today I went with a friend from work to the Canberra botanical garden (just at the bottom of Black Mountain). They aren't much compared to the one at Sydney I went to recently, but still good for a bit of a walk around.
The focus of the visit was photography practice, and wildlife photography is one of my favourites so I had a bit of fun:

The rest (at full size with shooting info) are at:

No editing or photoshop involved; straight off the camera. I want to focus on trying to get good shots first off instead of fixing them up later.

    Anyone else into wildlife stuff?

Yep - definitely into wildlife photography - and yeah that second shot is brilliant! Well caught!

Your first photo is wonderful, but I LOVE the secnod pic! Thats magic! I used to do a bit of stuff with the dogs and horses back home, but without any puppies or aminals roaming the house these days, I sorta lost interest in it. Theyre Great Andtfoot - Well and truly on your way to our next Steve Parish!

The second one is really good! It takes a lot of skill and luck to make something like this.

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

I'm find in the first one I put up to be my personal favourite of the day (guess what my wallpaper is now...). It just seems to be better composed and focused. I don't like the framing of the second one, even if it was a lucky shot.

I think I need to get a macro lens for those spider shots... :costsmoney!:
