So picked this mother up from Wakefield the other day and was wondering if anyone knows what it is. My thought was to attach something to metal, hit the bullet end into a piece of sheet meat and then screw it all the way in in one go.

Looks like an idle adjustment screw off a carby.

There is no thread as such, it is just ribs. I had to check carefully. So I was thinking it is a plug to affix sheet metal, it is solid with the bullet end and the ribs, I am guessing it aint meant to come out. But when cars come together this is what would come away with a panel, maybe. Just interested at first, it did save me having to decide on whether to get a new tyre as it was probably not good enough for Phillip Island in April. So new rear and hardly worn front will be good. Always got to look for the plus.
