Stranger things have happened, if you really don't think it's possible to be booked for shit you've filmed and posted on youtube then you're dumber than your profiles namesake.

You could be correct about the number of people on here who care about "lawbreaking" but the fact remains it's a dumb-arse move to go publishing your mates on youtube doing anything illegal. What a great mate you'd make if you think this is ok... :30.gif:

The cops actually do look at vids and will book.

I care about lawbreaking riders, so your 0 is incorrect. Riders like the ones on the video give non-lawbreaking riders a very bad name and frighten the shits out of the drivers of cars they were overtaking.

So your not familiar with the guy that got done in Canberra for plotting multiple videos of him breaking the law? Guess how he got caught..... Forums..

Also I'd be pissed if my plate was shown regardless of what I was doing

you mean the guy that posted his own videos all over Facebook bragging and had his username as his numberplate?

as if the cops are going to watch every cruise video looking for every little thing

    number of cops called? 0.

    FFS you are dumb.

I'm not saying the cops are trawling the Internet. I'm just saying one. Day you might get unlucky and get done. Then youl be wishing you didn't post up your boring as fuck video seemingly riding up the Clyde slowly and doing shit overtakes?

I break the law. Infact I have a blatant disregard for it. Does that mean Im about to go posting up my offences for everyone to see? So that gets added to my wrap sheet when I do get caught?

has a "blatant disregard for a law" but then cares about what other people chuck up on the internet. no worries. are your number plates in the videos? no? then you're sweet, why are you whinging about it?

the fact of the matter is that no, in the future nobody is going to review them, and nothing is going to happen. the end.

Its kind of an unwritten rule around here policed by common sense, we don't post vids of illegal shit... individual members in the vids may not like it, but its also a bigger picture issue, CR as a community i'm sure doesn't relish this kind of attention, and we wont be laughing if there is an increase in attention to our organised rides on the clyde... simple.

Play nice all... In short, attention isn't necessarily good and there are both active members of the police force who are on here & people have been done for posting videos of illegal things. It's an outside chance.

So maybe let's leave it at that and stick to GoPro alternatives in this thread :).

Actually if someone complains they have to look into it. so best to delete the video at all places it's posted. 1st time I watched the whole video, my plate is very clear at the end and I don't like posting my plate on the internet and I also make sure I don't post other members plates out of courtesy .

yeah, it would need to be reported though, there is soooooo much video footage of people doing illegal things out there.

it takes 1 party pooper to start the ball rolling. Sydney riders had a similar thing happen and it pretty much shut down there web site. By the time the Chinese whispers got around they were accused of doing time trials around Sydney by the media. I'm sure it caused some grief for the site owner as well.

You couldn't be more wrong. They do go trawling through Youtube vids and they do get convictions for it. Shit happens to idiots who post up videos of themselves, whether you agree or not is irrelevant - it happens and it happens often enough for most punters not to post up identifieable videos of themselves breaking the law.

How do you think they catch rock spiders ?? By NOT looking at the internet ?? FMD.
