Wanted to get back into doing some pics of moving bikes, went out with Stace and Mick this arvo and snapped some pics. This is probably the standout.

... and to think, I considered selling this lens last month.

Stace needed a nap. I think she was pretty worn out by it all, too.

    INNUENDO.

Okay so I have have a serious photo-thingy question (shock!). Supa do you shoot JPG or RAW? Because the super-anal (haw haw buttz) stock photographer in me noticed that upon 100% zooming that image, it stands to benefit from a little luminance noise reduction maybe?

Also why on earth where you considering selling an x0-200mm? That's basically THE motorcycle portrait lens.

    Also: inb4 "in-your-endo."

RE: Noise. Yeah, I could have spent more time trying to reduce it. Had to shoot in the order of ISO640-800; despite how it looks, it was actually quite dark at that time of the arvo and at that spot of Mt Mac, and at 200mm you need a reasonable aperture to get a reasonable DoF - otherwise half of the bike is out of focus.

So maybe I'll look at it again.

As for what I shoot - usually JPG and usually not at as high ISOs (640 is about where the D90 starts to get some appreciable noise) but in this case, it was RAW :).

As for the lack of ute, I did get one in the classic WFR style:

What image editor are you using? I like the way the colors are coming out.

Photoshop CS5 and lots of fucking about with the colour ramps to get it to reproduce what Nikon does with jpegs :).

See with Canon's software, you just click the little 'color' slider, and ramp it up to 11 :D

But then, our 18-200 lenses are poop.

Computer. Works fine on the iMac. But Firefox and Chrome on my windows PC wont display it. IE displays it fine. I can see Cam0 Gixxer thread fine also. This is a bit off topic and if I could be bothered Ill fix it later

Weird. It's actually hosted off a direct link off stalkbook (they can afford the bandwidth) but I can put it up on my own webspace in a sec.
