Can we negotiate with the Meating Room to provide our ideal cheeseburger? Even a degustion menu with Mt Mac laps between courses!

Haha well, part of the test is that I shouldnt have to order something custom - just go in and order their cheeseburger. But I'm all for eating burgers off the books between mt mac runs

another thing, kids who work there won't kick you out if you bring your own cheese.

This is most interesting, I don't know much about Canberra's vibrant food culture (mostly cause of uni-student budget) but I know a bit of Sydney and I swear I've yet to taste better burgers or ice cream than two shops in North Richmond (west Sydney near Castle Hill).

Might I suggest a place. Wood Works café. Wagyu burger. Soft bun, tasty meat, basic flavours.

You'll be able to ride there now, go up through Oberon and then you'll be able to hit North Richmond for a burger when you get to Sydney. Whereabouts are the shops in North Richmond anyway, I might give them a try?

Haha for the time being not likely, I'd prefer to drive there at least until I get something bigger than a 125 [emoji28] .

The shop is called the Grill on George and it's on George St in Windsor. The Windsor Ice Cream Cafe is just down the road - both shops charge a little more than others but their serving sizes are appropriate and the flavour....bang on the knocker.

That makes more sense, there's not much in North Richmond although there was a shop that made lovely flame grilled burgers there a while ago (not there now).

Decided to up the ante on my Burger Hero training. Went for a double cheeseburger (which you can order off the menu, so tick in the box there), added an extra two patties and bacon. This little bad boy is about half of the challenge burger (8 patties in total), so I figured it was a good way to see what I'm in for. I've left background items in the picture to give a context to the size of it. Managed to polish it off in 12 minutes 31 seconds. The approach was to open the burger up, hoof down enough patties straight to make it a manageable size then tackle the burger proper. The first few patties were ok, but when it came to going for the burger itself, I started to think that I had bitten off more than I can chew (pun intended).

Halfway through the burger itself I really started having regrets and thinking that I wouldn't make it, but alas I pushed on through (thanks to lots of water to push it all down) and managed to get through it all. However, the whole experience has made be realise that the challenge is exactly what it is, a challenge. So definitely more training (and preparation, like, not eating for two days before hand and loads of water during the morning) is required. Whilst I'm taking the 12mins:31secs as a positive, the state I was in afterwards tells me that it may not be linear, i.e. a 4 patty burger in 12:31 may not necessary equate to a 8 patty burger in a 25mins 2sec time.
