Don't be hatin' on hyosungsource man, Just give them another chance. I have ordered stuff off there several times and they always get it right for me. And they refund your money AND the postage, how good is that.

Yeah warranties are for nubs LOL. Glad I don't have to pay for servicing...

its the first 1000 kay service so it gets done at a dealer. after that itll be going elsewhere.

waiting on a response fro, HYsource. Hoping they just ship the correct ones out to me Monday and I can return the wrong ones when they refund me.

man im terrified that mines going there for a service in two week :( stupid first service requirement.

No, Joes will not be doing anything to mine that
    1) I can do myself
    2) isnt a warranty claim.

went for a sneaky ride around the 'burb this afternoon to 'familiarize and shakedown' the bike. noticed two things mostly:

1 - NOT as forgiving as the ZZR was. stalled it plenty, locked up the back twice, kinda hairy.
2 - sounds awesome. cant wait to put my pipe on it.

I'm not sure with the Fuel Injected versions, but I remember my carby one would stall pretty easily when new (and restricted). After it was run in (few thousand kms and several runs of Old Pacific Highway later) it smoothed out a lot.

Hey mate, are you POSITIVE it has to go back to the dealer for the first service? Yes I know they told you you had to, but they changed the law a few years ago so you had to have them serviced by a licenced mechanic (they had to have a stamp of some kind), but it didn't have to be where you bought it or even the specific brand dealer. Their loophole was you might miss on updates or recalls if you go to someone who isn't brand specific.

Who told you you HAD to go back to where you bought it from?

Happy to be told I'm wrong, but why not check before you take it Joes?

Well it may be going somewhere before it gets rego at this stage :( It wont engage 1st without stalling. or start in 1st with the clutch in.

Given its 11pm my neighbours will be pissed if I keep starting it in neutral and trying to dick with it. So hopefully tomorrow I can get it together.

Heidi it doesnt HAVE to go to Joes for any service but as its the first service im taking it to the official dealer so any issues can get immediate warranty attention. After that itll go locally to Mitchel.

Put the correct mirrors on it today and 3/4 rear wheel tape so its at least in 'roadworthy' condition.

EDIT: also noticed the gear and brake pedals are not in a comfy spot so im going to adjust them now :)

Oh that's fine then, from your posts I thought you thought you had to take it there.

Good luck with the other stuff.

Not engaging in 1st without stalling, could be something dodgey in the sidestand kill switch?

What do mean by stalling? If you've got it running in neutral and then select first does it cut out straight away, like when you hit the kill-switch, or sort of struggle then die? If it's just cutting straight out, it's probably the sidestand switch. If it's struggling, check the clutch cable. It might have stretched and need adjusting.

I didn't think it would engage any gear without cutting out if that was the case...

thought it measure before cutting (so to speak) DC/d the plug and made a loop with a piece of wire.

Seemed to work, it TRIED to start and didnt show CHe on the dash but it pulled forward when I had the clutch in which makes me think its not adjusted properly. Tried to start but now its just buzzing so I think ive flattened the battery too much so ill leave it o'night and try again in the morning.

    Cheers all :)

Yeah, the cable's stretched. And you don't need to bypass your sidestand switch, just hit it with some degreaser and push it in and out a bit, it's probably only got some gunk in it and sticking.

All done! rego'd and ready to go!

Going to fit my pipe tonight. Realised my clutch cable is broken at the lever (guide is snapped) so ill get that replaced when it goes in to service.
