Possible Failing Relay or Electrical Switch ????

Hi all, hoping someone may have some info on a strange noise that started yesterday on the VFR.
When I started for work yesterday morning there was 2 clicking noises when pulling the clutch lever in but only in gear, after some investigation I have found that what seemed like a noise from the clutch master cylinder seems to be coming from the dash area. But I am not sure unless I pull the fairing off, but there doesn't seem to be a relay or switch behind the dash that has anything to do with the clutch switch.
No noise when in neutral, no noise with the ignition off. Noise when in gear and the noise happens when about 1cm from the clutch lever fully in, sounds like 2 definite clicks when the engine is running. When the ignition is switched on and in gear the noise seems to come everywhere ?????
Any ideas, please.

 

For those interested, I found the noise. It is the Variable Air Intake flap, now to find out if its a problem.

 

I have a similar problem that needs sorting out - definite clicking/switching sound coming from the dash area, only happens at relatively low revs when I'm backing off or rolling on from neutral revs. It feels like it completely cuts power for a brief second then it goes back to normal???
