Hi guys, calling on the collective knowledge and contacts of CR.
I`m looking for a sorted racer I can run at PCRA meetings (but not in Buckets/Motolites) so I can get some more racetime. Possibility to run in St George meetings or series might be an advantage.
    250-400-500cc.
You guys must know of something raceable out there, Gos, Mick LC?:)

Gos claims to be a sorted racer. Last I heard you couldnt give him away though.

Wait maybe you mean a bike.....? If you want to run other classes with St George Id suggest a 600.

    Jono no longer exists.

Greg - have you had a look at the PCRA forum and classified ads ? There are often good, sorted race-bikes for sale there. The 400 class is really competitive in the St George club, so are the 600's but these are probably a better bet for you.

aah yes, I would guess that the last time your sorry arse saw a real track was back in 2008 ?? *cough*currently sitting in 3rd place in PCRA Period 5 Unlimited*cough* no claims here about being sorted though !! at least you got the 600 part right

Thanks Gos, checked PCRA and a lot of the other classies, have narrowed it down to either a 400, so I can run PCRA and ST George, or RS125. Have got a lead on a RS up the North Coast, could end up with a vfr400 like half the rest of the field, but a bit interested in the idea of a ZXR 400? pretty rare but have heard that a well sorted one can win.

keep your eye on ebay as well. Lots of bargains regularly pop up there....

they all have USD forks. Don't know what the SP means but all the fast ones seem to be an SP model.

I havent kept up to date are USD forks still out for P6? Thre was constant sooking about it when I was in PCRA. Just thinking if SGP wants P6 he'll need to keep that in mind.

The MOMS say if they were original fitment on the bike then you can have them:

I can't remember all the details about the SP but from memory they had flatslides and other nice stuff that made them the quick option for the 400's.

Got back from a buying trip to Sydney- now the proud owner of a soon to be P6- RS 125R Honda 1993 It`s a Trevor Jap import, as it came out of the container, with spares and some other bits thrown in with the sale.Needs top end kit fitted , a really good clean up and check over and new slicks fitted where the hard old wets live now. When I get a chance I`ll post pics up on a new Project thread.:)
I`m joining you in the stinky fumes section Steve!

Sweet, always good to see another 2T race bike around, Do you think it will be rdy for the CR ride day? What fuel are u planning to run? I've pick up 40Lts of ELF RF100 (Avgas) for mine and I'm chasing up a new set of slicks too.

Yeah it`ll be ready -racing chainsaw technology in a bike that weighs less than me! Can pull the bike apart except for motor and reassemble again in no time, makes lawnmowers look complicated. Will be running 98 to suit the head I`ll be fitting, was on avgas in Japan apparently by the look of the head that was fitted, I`ll give you a call re slicks, Craig White probably for me?
