6 months at Dahlitz and Scarlett is HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy and excited to have her back. A big fat (expensive ) rebuild and she's good as new, purring like a kitten (a big one). I'm poor and can't afford rego now lol but who cares, my Scarlett is back where she belongs.

 

Congratulations, took a while but look how happy you are now, now only need rego and we can organise some rides with the good weather coming

 

so what caused the 6 month rebuild?

In seriousness though. .. I found out (after the event) that the c50 had a 'soft' engine and doesn't like getting to hot and working too hard so it's common for the bike in those conditions to get to around 50000kms and start using alot of oil. Unfortunately my bike was one of those and after 60000kms of using no oil, she ran dry 1500km after new oil was put in. Which stuffed the pistons etc... so.. exy mistake, will be watching oil levels alot closer and hopefully getting alot more years of of her.

 

Everyday is a new lesson. That's why we're alive.
It must feel so good to be back in her saddle though. I struggle these days going a week..

So essentially the engine welded itself shut with no oil :/ That sucks but glad she's home! I was the same with my bike, just couldn't wait for it to be back on the road and no it is

 

congrats on her coming home, will have to remember the oil issue when helga gets a bit more milage on her.

 

This makes me Happy. Glad to hear that Scarlett is back with you. Looks like you've given her a wash so that really only leaves one more thing to do.

 

Curious....no oil consumption then heavy consumption following oil change? What year is your bike by the way?
