In the likelihood we get some really nice autumn weather before winter really sets in - i.e the next couple of weeks to maybe mid-June if we are lucky - you can count on a presence out there every weekend.

Apollo Road is looking better by the minute ;) .....

2 unmarked cars out there today. They just cruised Brindabella rd and Paddys River rd. I got there just as they pinched to guys near Uriarra Village.

we must thank all the flogs who treated this area as their private race-track over the past few months, with constant riding up and down and up and back again, all interspersed with a massive spanking on the side of the road about how fucking cool they are..... - goodonya fuckheads, now nobody can enjoy a decent strop out there.

Fuckstains each and every one of you.

But of course, it's nothing to do with people cutting laps, of course, there are no police out there, the ones that are there just want to let us do whatever we want unless we go flogging past the village....

No! Apollo Road is a terrible place and infested with police, roos, wombats, bunyips, dragons and bubonic plague. I'd strongly suggest all motorcyclists stay away - especially those with no imagination.

Yes, and that was my point earlier - this sort of shit happening now is because more people and some of them doing way more laps than was common.

I think the party poopers refers to residents not so much the additional riders. They can't crack down forever.

Guess the old Tharwa GP will be on more often.

Only until someone complains about the people racing down to Tharwa at the same time every Friday arvo.

Get as many people doing it repeatedly and/or throwing themselves off the side of the Cotter and yep, that'll happen, too.

probably same percentage of crashes at either place. We'll see what happens to the volume when everyone is pushed south.

its nothing like the same. Mt Mac was infested with wannabe GP stars who would all struggle to ride out of sight on a dark night.......hence the prangs. By comparison - anywhere close to Tharwa has been essentially statistic-free for years.

I don't get to go on too many Friday arvo rides, but I have gone on enough to know a shit load of people bin it. And that's just on one crack, not cutting laps.

I blame the solar farm being moved. Prior to this the villagers were all busy writing angry letters about glare. :102.gif:

Down towards Tharwa I seem to come across a few slow riders on fast bikes.

2 to 4 a season on the LWH.

At the hospital 2 weekends ago I was chatting to the cops, and it's that many out Mt Mac every weekend.

well for starters nobody 'cuts laps' of the run to Tharwa in the first place - its just a ride there, some head off over the bridge and a couple might head back home via Point Hut. But nobody 'cuts laps' in the same way that happens up on Mt Mac.

A shit load of people bin it ?? how many is that you reckon ? I have done a shitload of Friday arvo runs since Mick kicked these off maybe 6 years ago - and in all that time I can count the number of prangs on 1 hand. Unlike Mt Mac, where you need both hands and both feet to count the number of prangs since last Xmas.

The 2 roads/rides are nothing at all like each other and never will be.
