It looks so awesome, I had to look twice to realise you hadn't already painted it!

Laurie is banging up some engine cases for me. Found a 2nd hand MC cheap, so I'll grab that. Finish the fibre glassing Friday. Paint over the weekend. Then just gotta bash out the radiator, attach sharks fin, make a catch can and she will be ready to rock.

    9 days and counting.

Its taken me over 6 months but I have found my brake problem. Tired three different master cylinders and got the same bad leaver feel. So I reluctantly pulled apart the calipers to reveal that one of the seals had been pinched by the piston and was leaking fluid. What a relief. Will get a new seal from CMC tomorrow and should have it back together by the middle of the week.

Laurie did a fantastic job on the three engine covers I required.

Just doing some final fibreglassing on the fairings now, then later tonight I'll bog and sand them back. With a bit of luck get it painted this week as well.

Exhaust will hopefully be back together is weekend. It'll be about 25cm shorter.

Still need to do a little work getting the radiator to seal properly but have got it mostly back in shape.

Sharks fin will go on this week. Then lockwire everything back together make a catch can and I might actually make next Sunday!

Did you work out if you had gotten coolant in your oil or not?

I flushed the oil and changed the filter on Saturday. It looks pretty good now. Was probably just some condensation from the cold weather.

And on the Monday he said "LET THERE BE BRAKES" and there were brakes.

I cant beleive I've had this bike for almost 2 years now. She's been a fantastic little race/track bike. The bike holds its own against most of the 750's of the same era. On the shorter straights they barely gap me at all, on the longer straights its a bit more work but she's always straight back up their arses a couple of corners later. After two years of punishment I'm gonna have to put in a little bit of work to get her running at 100% again. The left engine case is leaking a tiny amount from somewhere, I already have a spare gasket so its not a bit deal. The body work is going in for some proper paintwork so she'll at least look like she's meant to be out there on the track. I've found a good priced set of rearsets and I'll be doing some modifications to make the clipons sit lower.

Unfortunately I also found that one of the brake lines was being pinched in the steering lock and is pretty ruined. The lines are only 2 track days old so I'll have to grab another set which blows!! So there is a bit of work to do between now and Feb 6 but as always I'll have it done by the night before :p
