Haha cutting is the easy part, only that it's a bit depressing at first when you start getting smaller.
I'm half way there. 106 down to 98, that's the plan at least. We'll see how it goes :ridgy

Lucky the Mont was cancelled then. You'd be down to the weight of a crack addicted AIDS sufferer by the end if the weekend.

Has anyone done, or know more information about finding Cross Triathlon/strict triathlon Events? (off road triathlon/mini-adventure race) the only one I've found (apart from X-terra next weekend, I can't make it :( ) is the 150km Sri Chinmoy (I'd prefer something a tad less ironmany in introductory length)... There are a few others they have, however considering I don't have a canoe/kayak/paddle thing, I'm out of luck (I suppose I could come up with a boogie board at short notice, though I doubt it would be allowed)

Apart from that all the links I've found are for event results (after the fact) :(

An Update from my Obstacle Adventure! the O-school!

Well I'm quite happy! I managed to run 48 Km's on the weekend, and that was the warmup! I was then put through my paces with 35 other awesome athletes for the next 20 hours by the Under Armour: Team Australia Selection commitee. Sadly, i wasn't able to make the final 2 hours of our last run due to the medic pulling all those who couldn't actually move faster than a slow walk (He already had a runner with early stage hypothermia and for those of us who physcically couldn't run, and we were more at risk)

What I am supremely proud of, is after only 2 years, i was able to keep with professional and sponsored athletes from a variety of disciplines, and impressed alot of them with my ability. I realise i don't need validation from anyone else, it's just good getting that kind of commeraderie and support! It was pure hell, and incredible fun, Best Weekend ever!

Under Armour had rented out a whole sporting complex in Berry, what it was:
(we only got time for the runs, for the rest we were told when to start and when to stop)

5 hours around a 5km Cross country track: rivers to swin through, walls to climb, mud and barbwire!

Then it was on to a partner sand bag carry up and down a hill... we swapped to ropes at some point.(my shin splints started here)

We then moved on to a ladder of 8 point push ups(like a star jump mixed with a pushup) and as a team proceeded to do that till we were told to stop.. it was several hours.

From there it was straight into a hall to play around with a ton of climbing walls and rigs (I struggled on that a bit )

Then a mean little circuit set involving teams of 4 and 250 reps of varying things (I liked this bit the most) however my hands seized on me, my team mates had to pry my hands off of the bars and them flatten them out, (several times) fun, fun, fun!

By this stage a few people had already pulled out due to various injuries and exhaustion, on we went (walking was kinda getting hard for me too:( ) we then had a wonderful time of a reverse pyramid push up sets (Crawl across a basketball court, 50 pushups, reverse crawl back, 49, all the way to zero oh and any word spoken reset your clock to 50 pushups... (i've never been more quiet in my life!) after a certain amount of time, we stopped when one of us got to 25!.

It was now dawn, and our final challenge a 2.5 hour team run followed by 2.5 individual.

I can barely walk at present, but i have to still say, best weekend ever!

Oh and Under Armour gave us a heap of awesome gear!
